Installing Ubuntu desktop

Installing Ubuntu Desktop is a straightforward process that can be completed in a few simple steps.

  1. Download the Ubuntu Desktop ISO image from the official Ubuntu website.
  2. Create a bootable USB drive or DVD using the ISO image.
  3. Insert the USB drive or DVD into the computer on which you wish to install Ubuntu.
  4. Restart the computer and press the appropriate key (usually F12 or Esc) to enter the boot menu.
  5. Select the USB drive or DVD from the boot menu and press Enter.
  6. The Ubuntu installer will start. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Ubuntu, including selecting your preferred language, location, keyboard layout, and username/password.
  7. Once the installation is complete, remove the USB drive or DVD and restart your computer.
  8. You should now be able to log in to your new Ubuntu Desktop installation.
